"The Cannery Row action is at your doorstep", but the bayside location is an even bigger draw at this "lovely" inn on Monterey Bay, where some rooms offer panoramic water views and all feature "exquisitely comfortable" canopy beds (and for added "romance", fireplaces); P.S. the continental breakfast "delivered to your room" is a treat, but it's the only meal served here.

The afternoon wine and cheese reception was great.
The bar across the street was loud, but that's not the hotel's fault.

Great place for the family to relax when visiting Monterey and the Monterey Bay aquarium. It would be even better as a romantic destination for 2.

The rooms are very pretty. We enjoyed the location.
I cannot say anything bad about the hotel.

The hotel is in a great location where you can leave your car parked and walk arond the town.

On the water (great sounds) with a wood-burning fireplace in room (awesome), free wine at happy hour (totally awesome).
No bathroom in lobby.

The wife and I had a great time at this hotel. The rooms on the water are EASILY worth the extra price. Open the window to hear the waves, seagulls and seals. The rooms are furnished beautifully. The wine and cheese evening reception is a nice touch.
There is nothing bad that I can say.

The Spindrift Inn provides personal charm that's hard to find. The rooms feel private and are beautifully decorated. A complementary breakfast is delivered to your room each morning. Best of all, the Spindrift is centrally located on Cannery Row. Definitely worth a visit. ...read more

Room was a bit small, but was nicely appointed.

Location! right on Union Square. Hotel has beautiful, tasteful decor. Michael Mina dining room is one of the top in San Francisco. Fabulous staff.

Location is a big plus. The bed was really comfortable and the outside balcony was terrific.
I felt a little cramped in the lobby, however the room was spacious.

A really great hotel. The price was a little high for one night stay; however being down the street a couple of blocks from the Monterey Aquarium were a big plus. The wine reception is one that cannot be missed. ...read more

Rooms were elegant and inviting. Vaulted ceilings, window seats, fireplace, and wood floors added so much!
The only thing I did not like was the noise of the pub across the street where the motorcyclists rev up their motors in the mid hours of the night.

Very nice! If you are a sensitive sleeper and are on the Canary Row side, bring ear plugs! Otherwise if you are on the beach side you are set! Loved being so close to the shops, restaurants and the aquarium. Awesome being right on the beach too. ...read more
